Avian lightweight board uses 40% to 60% less timber than standard particle board and the wood we do use is harvested from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) managed forests. The honeycomb center is made of recycled paper; utilizing PUR water-based glue for adhesion. Understanding the importance of air quality, Avian board exceeded the CARB 2 air quality rating well before the required date (Particle board .09 formaldehyde, MDF .11 formaldehyde) - making Avian lightweight board the right choice ecologically.
